Consent forms and sponsorship money for the planned Stay-awaker on November 4, must be returned this Friday 28. No consent form, no stay awaker!! Donations will go to homeless charity Focus Ireland.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Anyone interested in U-15 Badminton, U-14 Cross Country, U-13 and U-16 Table Tennis, U-12 and U-16 Chess, or U-10, 12 or 14 Draughts? There is a very short turn around for getting entries in, so please don't delay. Contact Colette Steel 086 352 7292. Well done again to Annette Hillis for her contribution locally as a volunteer to Community games, she finished in the top 3 at the County awards and we thank her again for all her hard work.

SWIMMING

Glynn Barntown's swimmers were in action in the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin at the weekend. We saw powerful performances in the first gala of the season, from all our swimmers, all getting PBs and some getting Leinster medals.

Eoin Allen, Eoghan Mahon, Adam Mahon, Stuart Vaughan, Kevin Mahony, Conor Mahony, Isabelle O'Connor, Chloe O'Connor and Neil Beaver. Georgina Steel and Sean Maher, both did enough to secure Irish Age group Division 2 places this year. But the star performer was Cameron Steel, who went under the minute barrier in the 100m freestyle, to guarantee his Irish Open Championship place next year. Well done also to Kieran Walsh from Piercestown who did the same, a huge achievement well done.
