Jim takes up presidency role
A TOAST WAS made to Jim Cowman last weekend when he took up the role of the new president of Wexford Toastmasters Club.
The New Ross native who now lives in Killinick takes over as Eamonn Campion vacated the role.
Jim was the first member of the new Wexford Toastmasters Club to receive a competent communicator's pin and has held the role of vice-president of education within the organisation up until now.
At the change over ceremony, the group stressed that they are keen to encourage new members to get on board in the year ahead.
The club's spokesperson, David Power said: 'Communication, leadership and team building is what Toastmasters is all about, it is so important in our current economic climate.'
He continued, ' Toastmasters will develop your confidence and interaction with other people in a balanced way.'
The group's next meeting will be held on Thursday, September 27, at Whites Hotel.
