The All Blacks Lotto was not won on Monday 11th. Numbers were 7, 9, 26, 28. There was no match 3 winner. The Jackpot was €15,000 last Monday in The Kilrane Inn. Kilmore Uniteds Lotto was not won on Monday 11th. Numbers were 1,17,18,21. No match 3 winner. Jackpot was €8,550 last Monday night in Quigleys lounge. Kilmore Community Lotto was not won on Tuesday 12th. No match 3 winner. The Jackpot was €6,800 last Tuesday night in GAA clubrooms.


Congratulations to Mrs Kathleen Hayes Sarshill Kilmore who Celebrated her 91st Birthday over the weekend .


Congratulations to Brendan Hogan who celebrated his 60th Birthday with a surprise party at Mary Barrys on Saturday night .Brendan and family had a meal out and just decided to go for a drink at Mary Barrys but little did he think what was awaiting him when all family and friends had a great night.


Congratulations to Miss Katie Martin Sarshill who celebrated her 21st birthday last weekend with a party at Hotel Saltees which was attended by all her family and friends.


The death of Paddy Kelly Ballyseskin Kilmore took place last week end. Paddy was a great character and was very well known and was within 10 days of celebrating his 90th Birthday. Sympathy to wife Kathleen, Daughters and Son, family and friends on their great loss.


SAC held their first master angler sea angling competition on Saturday the 26/03/11 at Ballyhealy. Nine anglers turned out and all caught fish. The results were as follows 1st Kieron Tobin, 2nd Richard Hogan, 3rd Brian Kinsella/Brian Wall. Biggest flat Marc Philipe, Biggest round Richard Hogan The next master angler is being held on Saturday the 23/04/11 at Rosdoonstown fishing from 8pm-12mn. Check in at 7pm in the car park.


The U14 girls played Horeswood at home in Kilmore and were beaten but the girls showed great spirit for their first match in the newly formed Club. The girls will be in Fethard this week for their second match. We will keep you posted. Good Luck Girls


Please remember that April Bingo will be held on Good Friday Night, 22 April, in the Stella Maris Centre at 8 o'clock. This has been changed from Easter Sunday night. Plenty of prizes, with the Raffle proceeds being donated to Kilmore Outreach to Uganda. Come along and bring a friend or neighbour. Children welcome. See you there.


Our u14 were beaten by a strong side from Horeswood last Wednesday evening in Kilmore but played really well in what was for a lot of them their very first camogie game and Horeswood team have been playing for the last 4 or 5 years together so well done girls.

They play away to Fethard this Wednesday. Well done to our Rackard League team who beat the Mercy school from Wexford town well last Thursday.

Our u12s played a blitz in Piercestown last Saturday. U10s play next Saturday in Piercestown. We now have 17 u8 girls training on a Tuesday evening 6 to 7 so numbers are still growing and all are welcome. The club are selling €2 tickets for a draw with 1st prize €500 your support would be much appreciated. A reminder that hurls and helmets are available at cost price from the club.


Well done to our minor team who had a great win over St Martins in Piercestown last Wednesday evening on a scoreline of 7:8 to 0:2. A reminder to all that registration must be paid before May 1st. Fees as follows : u10s €20, u12s up to minor €35 and junior and senior €50. New players must supply a copy of their birth cert.


The Easter camp is currently on at the moment, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am to 1pm. Check out the Coiste na nÓg for more details. This camp is open to all young players in our club, with football, hurling and camogie catered for. This will be a great chance for all to practice those skills and have some fun!! Under-8 football are on from Friday from 6-7 and Under 8 hurling on Sunday mornings from 11-12.

Our U 14 and U 16 footballers both had their first games of the year in the past week and both made winning starts.

The U 16 team beat Bannow Ballymitty in a very close game. Kilmore trailed by 3 points entering the last quarter but finished strongly to eventually win by 2 points on a scoreline of 2 - 12 to 3 - 7. This Sunday (17th) they are away to Volunteers in hurling. The under-14 footballers recorded a good win away to St. Mary's Rosslare - final score was Kilmore 9 - 1 St. Mary's 6 - 3.

Next match for this group will be on Thursday (21st) in Kilmore when they take on Monageer in football. U 12s will be starting their league games this week also - details of first game will be available at training on Tuesday.

Membership for the year is only €10.00 which covers football and hurling - can be paid to your team mentors if you haven't already done so. New players always very welcome.

Don't forget the Hurling / Football / Camogie camp which takes place on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, April 18th - 20th from 11am to 1 pm each day. Cost is just €3.00 per child per day or €5.00 per family - boys & girls from U8 upwards are welcome.

Finally, well done to Eoin Cooney from our U16 team who was one of 16 Juvenile players from around the county who recently completed a refereeing course organized by Wexford County Board as part of the GAA's "Young Whistler" scheme. They will now be appointed as referees for a number of Under 12 league games at various venues in 2011 - best of luck to Eoin.


A great afternoon was had by all who attended the Fun Cycle in Kilmore on Sunday last. The sunshine made for a great added bonus. Lucky Callum Dove was the winner of a new Bicycle which was kindly sponsored by Halfords in Wexford Town. The refreshments went down a treat by all participants afterwards and a special thank you to Saltees Fish for sponsoring those. We are all looking forward to the next cycle!!!"

Congratulations to our Under 16 Boys Pitch and Putt team who won the County Final last Saturday in Enniscorthy. They now go on to represent Wexford in the All Ireland Finals in Athlone in August. Well done lads on a great team performance. Team is David McDonnell, Liam Shannon, Padraig McCoy, Sean Berrigan and William Carley.

Our Under 11 mixed Basketball team travelled to Ballycanew last Thursday for what proved to be a great semi-final. They were defeated only in the last few minutes by the home team 16-12, with Jack Doyle scoring 8 points and Diarmuid Cooney 4 points. Rest of panel was Sophie Boxwell, Amy Cousins, Megan Doyle, Lisa Sheridan, Shane Devereux and Nathan Moore.

The under 16 Boys played their Basketball final in New Ross last Sunday, also against Ballycanew. This was a very exciting game of basketball which was close right up to the end when Ballycanew pulled away to win 20-9. Team was Daniel Tierney (5 points), Sam Boxwell (2 points), Criostoir Reville (2 points), Paraic Reville, Jack Pierce, Darren Cousins, Ryan Younger, Liam Roche and Ben Stevens.

Our U16 Girls team beat Ballymitty 10-4 in their semi-final to qualify for the County Final. As their opponents in the Final have given us a walkover, the girls are straight through to Leinster. Team is Aine McDonnell (4 points), Cora Cousins (4 points), Saoirse Burke (2 points), Roisin Shannon, Aoife Day, Roisin Sheil, Katie Bates, Hayley Miller and Chloe Troy. Congratulations to all three teams on their great performances.

In swimming Sean Maddock was our only competitor and he did really well in in the Under 10 Freestyle. He finished third in both his heat and semi-final, just missing out on a place in the Final and finishing fifth overall. Well done Sean on two great swims.

Our soccer teams will be in action shortly and we wish them the best of luck.
