U12s had a fantastic day at the blitz in St Martins recently, beating Rosslare, Harriers and St. Ibars and just losing by 1 goal to St. Martins. U10s played against the same teams last Saturday and are improving with every game. U14s played Fethard last Thursday and a bye this week. Training for u8s and u10s Tuesdays 6 to 7pm. New players most welcome.

Our senior team played Clonee last week in the senior league and were narrowly beaten on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-7. Kilmore were excellent in defence throughout the game. U12s beat Shelmaliers 2-4 to 2-0 in their first league game. 7 of this talented team have been attending trials for the county team over the last few weeks and all seven have made the final panel. What an achievement for the girls and the club!

The 7 girls are : Cathy O'Connor, Emma Cousins, Niamh Berry, Isobel O'Neill, Rebecca Furlong, Megan Scallan and Cora Miller. Well done girls. A reminder that membership is now due and should be paid to team mentors as soon as possible.

Daniel Furlong with his Special Guests are holding a winning night in Hotel Saltees on Friday 29th April. Tickets are €10 are on sale from Hotel Reception, Cullens Shop, Kilmore Quay, Bradys Shop, Kilmore Quay or by telephone on 087 9723824.

The Kilmore Quay guild of the ICA would like to thank all those that supported the table quiz in Mary Barry's on Wednesday 20th April which was a fundraiser for the guild. They would like to especially thank the management and staff of Mary Barry's for their hospitality on the night. The raffle on the night was also well supported and the funds raised will go towards the guilds activity. Again sincere thanks to one and all.

Although losing their final match & their first league game at home all season the men 1st team had already done enough to secure promotion to Div. 1, this is the 2nd tier of football in Wexford & when we formed less than 20 years ago we began in the 8th tier. Well done to all the boyz & their dedicated manager Mick Carthy, 2 years with us & two 2nd places, alright for a Rathangan lad.

The reserves are also finished & sit in the 3rd promotion place in Div. 5, however they can be overtaken by Rosslare Port depending how Port do in their final games.

The u-10 girls Wexford Cup semi final is fixed for this evening the 27th at home. Having already secured the Div. 1 league title the girls are on course for the double as they take on Gorey Celtic in what should be a cracker.
