The very best of luck to our u14 girls football team who will be heading off early on Friday next, June 22nd, to represent Wexford in the national Feile. The girls will play host club Monasterevin on Friday at 2pm in round 1 of the competition. They will then travel into Portlaoise that evening at 6pm to take part in the festival parade. They have a busy day Saturday with a very early morning as they play their round 2 game at 10am, round 3 at 11am and round 4 at 12.30. Hoping all goes well, the semi finals start Saturday evening at 5pm and all divisional finals will take place on Sunday in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.

The girls would once again like to thank everyone who supported their fundraising events over the last number of weeks. So the best of luck to all involved both on and off the field, we know you will represent your club and county with pride.

The club would like to say a huge thank you to all those who turned up to help us launch our 5 year Club Strategic Plan. The plan was officially launched in the Community Hall last week with special guests Mícheál Martin, Ger Carthy, Dave Guiney, George O'Connor and the club facilitator Joe Sheehan in attendance.

Each of the above gave great words of encouragement, and for those we are very grateful. One point that was really clear from all was that our club is progressing forward, and with the quality of personnel from Committee members to players the future looks bright. Luckily for us, the Camogie Club and the Ladies Football were heavily involved in the plan, and their influence shone through and their insights were much needed. It's all our club, and it's up to each of us to keep up the good work!

A big thank you to all those who supported our Car Wash, Cake Sale and Tea Break last weekend. The weather was great so we had the cake sale and tea break on the lawn at the Church. Special word of thanks to Fr Denis for allowing us use the facilities, parents, scouts, leaders and helpers who worked so hard on Saturday and Sunday.

All sections are busy, Beavers went to Forth Mountain where they built temporary shelters and had a picnic. They are busy preparing for Camp in Carne at end of the month. Cubs camped in Arklow at end of May, hosted the Coast Guard, and had fun and games last week.

They have Archery and other fun events planned before end of yr. Scouts have been busy preparing for Camp Craft Competition which takes place this wkend at Killag Show Field from Friday to Sudayn with groups from all over Co Wexford.

For the first time ever, Kilmore have two teams represented, a Competition team and a training team for younger Scouts. It is a great experience for the young people who put all the skills they have learned over the year into practice. This year they have an Olympic Theme with each site taking on a different country and they are hoping for fine weather so that all the sites can display plenty of colour. Next week they have Splashday with Camp to Bangor Seafood Festival Raffle Tickets.

Tickets are now available in shops and pubs for the Seafood Festival raffle. 1st prize is a trip to France, 2nd prize is a €150 Voucher for Petttits Supervalu, 3rd prize a selection of fine wines. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Geraldine from Positive Slimming would like to thank all her ladies for their support in Kilmore. She can now be contacted at Unislim in Clonard on Wednesdays. Contact Geraldine at 086-1064974
