Bingo is held every Monday at 8pm. There has been a steady decline in participation during the past year and we are actively encouraging the community to come along and enjoy a fun evening in the Community Centre. Lots of chances to win.

Brazilian Soccer School is on Tuesdays from 5-6pm and 6-7pm in the community entre.

Sessions are for boys and girls, aged 5-16 years and of all abilities. Call Eliot on (087) 6856765. Booking essential.


Tae Kwon Do with instructor Pat O'Rourke on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6p.m.-9pm and Saturdays from 2p.m-5 p.m. All levels and ages welcome.


Coach meets on Wednesday evenings. Call the centre mobile for current info.


Classes with chef Susita O'Brien on Tuesdays from 7pm in the centre.


Kid's Camp starting soon. Coach Sinnott is available for coaching. All levels welcome and all ages. Call 0872861874 for more info.

The Parish Office is open in the community centre on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 12.30pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 4pm. Call 0860697737.


Your generous support of this event has always been appreciated and this year was no different.

Many thanks to those who came to support our Social Sunday at the Community Centre and then to the coffee morning, raffle and cake sale last Friday on Daffodil Day for the Irish Cancer Society.

The Primary school also held a 'crazy hair day' and the teachers and children wore yellow for the day.

Between the two events, with donations still being made, a sum in excess of ¤1,500 was raised. Well done Murrintown!


There will be a church gate collection this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 3 and 4, in aid of the Dyslexia Association.

The Jr. Club is closed for the Easter break and will resume on Good Friday. Happy Easter to all the children and their families.

The Senior Club ' Stay Awake' night will commence from 8.30 p.m. on Friday, April 2 and finish at 8.30am on Saturday, April 3. In aid of local Community groups. From 8 to 10pm is the normal youth club with a disco from 10pm to midnight.

Then games and activities will continue throughout the night. The kitchen will be open all night for food, hot drinks, teas, coffees and hot chocolate. After midnight the only rooms that will be in use will be the new hall and the toilets of course.

The Community Games area swimming finals for Murrintown/Piercestown area (including Rosslare, Our Lady's Island and Kilrane) will be held on Saturday, April 10, at New Ross Swimming Pool at 5.30pm sharp.

The numbers drawn on March 22 were 1,4,3,7,2,6 and 5. There was no winner.

The next draw was scheduled for March 29 in Larkin's Bar with a jackpot of ¤1,000 up for grabs.


The Forth Celtic race night this year will be kindly hosted once again by our main Sponcer Jordan's Bar on Friday, April 16, at 8.30pm. Proceeds will go towards fitting out toilets and dressing rooms in our new clubhouse.

As these new facilities will be of huge benefit to all adults and children invoved in the club, please come along and support us on the night.

All over 8s are invited to come along and take part in a fun children's race on the beach at Rosslare at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday, April 5.

Run in conjunction with the 10k adult race organised by Wexford Triathlon Club, the meeting point is the carpark at Rosslare Strand and all children are asked to be there by 10.45am.

Afterwards there will be face painting, a bouncy castle and a party for all the children.
