COMMUNITY LIBRARY; We are very happy to announce that the free library is now open to all members of the community. We have a wide variety of books to choose from so come and browse awhile and then enjoy a chat and a cup of tea.. Opening hours Monday-Friday 9.00am12.30pm & 5.00pm-8.30pm.

We would like to thank all those who generously donated much needed books to the library, it is very much appreciated.

SQUASH & BADMINTON; courts are available for hire ART EXHIBITION

It is that time of year again when Murrintown Community Centre is very proud to host the Annual Art Exhibition. This exhibition has gone from strength to strength becoming a staple event of the Fringe Festival, and capturing the imagination of artists within the community and its environs. A feature of the exhibition is the diversity of art on show with work being submitted from the young members of our community to the more experienced artists.

The Art Exhibition will commence on Friday 28th October at 7.30pm with the official opening and will continue until Monday 31st October. The opening hours are Saturday and Sunday 10.00am to 05.00pm and Monday 10.00am to 04.00pm. We look forward to seeing you all there. SOCIAL SUNDAY Our monthly Social Sunday will take place on Sunday 23rd October in the Community Centre after 11am mass. Why not join us for some light refreshments. Everyone welcome. TOTS TO TEENS

Tots to Teens is now offering both part time and full time childcare services. Our NEW opening hours are 8.30am-6.00pm Monday to Friday. We will be catering for children from 4 months to 13 years. We currently have limited availability in our baby, wobbler and toddler rooms.

Our after school club which offers school collections at Murrintown National School now includes a new early morning service of school drop off for children attending Murrintown National School. This service will run from 8.30am-9.20am Monday to Friday. If you are interested in any of the services mentioned above please contact us for further details. Preparations are under way at present to celebrate the Clubs 40 Years in 2012. Activities and events are being organized for June Bank Holiday Weekend. Events will commence on Friday 1st June 2012, run through the weekend and will be finish up on Sunday 3rd June, following the official opening of New Club House and Pitches, with a Dinner Dance in Talbot Hotel.

It is hoped that all members of the Club past and present will join together over the weekend to join in the Celebrations. If anyone has any photo's of Club Teams/events/committees taken down through the years or any information relating to the Club's History or Memorial Moments that they would like to share please contact Caroline (086) 6006821.

Lotto numbers for 10th October were 2,4,5,7,3,6,1; no winner; next Draw on 17th October in The Mountain Bar. Jackpot €800.

Members of the committee will be calling shortly to houses in Murrintown/ Piercestown Area with details of prizes and tickets for the Forth Celtic Development Draw, which takes place on Friday 9th December in Jordan's Bar. Urgent help is required from Parents/Volunteers to help outwith various under age teams. Huge increase in number ofboys registering with the club this year.

There will be no youth club on the 21st October due to fireworks display. Senior youth club disco on the 28th October bus leaves centre at 8.30pm returning at 12.30am. On parent supervision duty are Shane Kehoe, Betty Ryan, Larry Kelly and Ann Culleton. ACTIVE RETIREMENT

On Monday 31st October the ARA club are organising a walk in aid of Heart Foundation in Rosslare Strand at approx. 2pm, meeting at Church Car Park.

On 1st November Drinagh Garden centre have been invited by the ARA Club to give talk on garden issues at 2.15 pm. All are welcome.

On 29th November there is a day trip away to Kilkenny Castle with tour of Castle and afternoon free at own discretion in Kilkenny City stopping off at Stanville Lodge for an evening meal on the way home. Price and times to be advised later.
