In order to raise funds for the Annual Senior Citizens Party the Oulart Senior Citizens Committee intends holding a Charity Auction in the Community Centre, in October. The organisers are appealing for donations of good quality, saleable items. No clothes or beds will be accepted and electrical items must be in working order. If you are unable to deliver the items to the Community Centre on the appointed day (yet to be announced) the organisers will arrange collection. The annual novena to St. Therese of Lisieux will begin on Friday 23rd September and will conclude, nine days later, on 1st October. The Novena prayers will be recited in St. Mochua's Church, each of the nine evenings, at 7.30pm. I.C.A. GUILD
Oulart Guild I.C.A. resumed regular meetings on Thursday 8th September. There was a good attendance of regular members along with four new members, Alice McDonald and Elaine Campbell, from Monageer and Una Furlong and Mary Murphy from Screen, who were warmly welcomed.
Guild President, Mrs. Anne O'Connor presided and opened the meeting with the I.C.A. prayer. Sympathy was extended to members who suffered bereavements over the summer and a minute's silence was observed. Guild members were asked to write their memories of I.C.A. and its benefits and the highlights of their time in the Association. Surviving members of guilds that are no longer in existence are also invited to take part. Hostess for the night, Mary Sutton, provided a lovely supper.
A number of members will take part in a "Knit-a-ton" in aid of the Heart Foundation, on Friday evening, 30th September, in the Legion of Mary Hall, Oulart. The October meeting will be held on Thursday 13th at 8pm, in Cooney's Lounge. New members are always welcome. PANTOMIME CHORUS
A second registration night for youngsters wishing to be part of the chorus of the pantomime "Little Red Riding Hood" will be held in Oulart Community Centre on Tuesday 20th September at 7pm. Boys and girls who want to take part should be at least 11 years of age on or before the end of December.
A parent/guardian is expected to accompany the child on registration night in order to sign the registration form and get details of rehearsals etc. The Pantomime will be staged from 3rd to the 7th January, 2012. ART CLASSES

Drama classes (7 years and upwards) will resume in Oulart during the third week of September. Places will be limited so early booking is advisable. The Ballagh Active Retired Indoor bowls takes place in The Ballagh Community Centre every Thursday from 2pm-4pm. Refreshments are served and all are welcome.

The Legion of Mary Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September. The cost of €90 for adults and €65 for children includes bus fare, evening meal, B&B and dinner.
