The A.G.M. of Scoil Mochua's Parents Association took place on 5th October. The new committee for the School Year 2011-2012 is: Joint Chairpersons Margaret Gray and Linda Cleary, Secretary: Kathryn O'Dowd, Assistant Secretary: Sarah Cleary, Treasurer: Tina Rossiter, Assistant Treasurer: Jane Tohill, P.R.O.: Linda Masterson. Many new members attended as did School Principal, John Brennan who commended last year's committee on their hard work and he emphasised the important role of the Parents' Association in the school. The next meeting of the Parents' Association will be held on Wednesday November 9 at 8pm.


Scoil Mochua's Parents 'Association will hold a School Hallowe'en Disco on Friday 28th October in Oulart Community Centre from 7pm -9pm. There will be prizes for the best Fancy Dress Costume and a raffle for hampers full of goodies. All age groups are welcome and the Disco will be strictly supervised by members of the Parents' Association.


After Mass on Saturday 29th October the parishioners of Oulart are invited to the Community Centre for an informal get-together to mark the retirement of Fr. John Jordan who served in the parish for 14 years Anyone who would like to donate confectionary etc for the function is asked to leave them in Oulart Community Centre at 3pm on the day. All are invited to attend.


Oulart-The Ballagh G.A.A. and Camogie have organised a Fashion Show to be held in White's Hotel, Wexford on Friday 18th November.

Tickets cost €10 are available from club members and in local shops.


The start of the handball season has been delayed this year as a result of ongoing renovations in the alley. The work has involved repairs to the roof, plaster work, cleaning the lights and applying a coat of paint. Many thanks to Lar Roche for his expertise, to Richard "Butch" O'Connor, Chairman of the G.A.A. Club, also to Nicky O'Toole, John Mernagh, Tom Murphy, James Smith, Edward O'Byrne, James Lyndon, Justin Heffernan, Niall O'Byrne, Denis Phillips, Lar Lambert and to Marty O'Toole whose contribution helped defray the cost of the project.

The alley will be re-opened after the Bank Holiday weekend.


In conjunction with ' Hope Day' Matty Parle Tyres will hold a Car Wash Day on Saturday October 29th from 9am to 5pm. Minimum donation per car is €5. 'Hope' candles will also be available for sale on the day .All proceeds to Hope Cancer Support Centre. Please support this worthy cause.
