Sincere sympathy is extended to Syl O'Brien and family on the death of his sister, Mrs. Anna-May Murphy, Cosher, Kilmuckridge, who died on Saturday, March 6 and was buried on Monday, March 8, following requiem Mass.


Best wishes for a speedy return to full health to all the sick of the parish and especially to Marty O' Toole, Johnny Hayden, Joe Quigley, and John O Dowd, Ballymotey.


Congratulations to Dylan Hammel and Julie O'Brien, former pupils of Scoil Mochua, now studying in Colaiste an Atha, Kilmuckridge, who have been awarded Scholarships to the Gaeltacht.


In a handwriting competition held recently in Scoil Mochua the following pupils were declared winners: Junior Infants: - Dylan Butler, Niamh LarkinCooney, Faith Masterson. Senior. Infants:-Ceadaigh Murphy, Niamh Dempsey, Fiona Bergin. First Class: - Siobhan Sinnott, Pierce Redmond, Sophie Rossiter. Second Class:-Aileen Quigley, Eva Cleary, Katie O' Brien. Third Class:-Claire Sutton, Yasmine Turmel, Rebecca Moles. Fourth Class: - Mairead O'Brien, Louisa Royce, Katie Roche, Fifth Class: - Eimear Murphy, Davin Kehoe, Sean Murphy. Sixth Class: - Chloe Hammel, Kate Foy, Aoife Larkin-Cooney.


A Bag Packing in Pettitts, Enniscorthy, in aid of St. Patrick's Church, has been organised for the first weekend in April (Thurs 1st.-Sat 3rd).As this will be the Easter weekend the supermarket is expected to be very busy so lots of volunteers, adult male and female, will be needed in order to have a presence at all the check-outs. If you can spare a few hours on any of the three days please contact any member of the committee.


A Church Choral Concert has been arranged for St. Patrick's Church, for Sunday April 18. Among the featured artists will be local sopranos Roisin O'Grady and Chloe Kenny, baritone and classical violinist John Dempsey, the Wexford Male Voice Choir and Oulart Parish Choir. An extensive programme is being planned and more details will be revealed closer to the date. Contact any member of the Committee to secure your tickets.


The Parents' Association of Scoil Mochua have organised an Easter Disco for kids of all ages on Thursday March 25, 7pm-9pm.The Disco will be strictly supervised, as usual. Admission is only ¤5 and there will also be a raffle for an Easter Egg Hamper as well as other prizes. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the door on the night of the disco.


The group continues to take bookings for the Donegal-Antrim Trip in April (Monday April 19 to Friday April 23). Non-members are welcome to travel with the group and there are seats remaining.
