An organising committee has been formed to establish 24-hour, 365 days of the year emergency defribrillaltor service for our local community.

Unfortunately, 5,000 Irish people will die from sudden cardiac death this year. The loss to families, community and society is enormous. The chances of successful defribillation decrease with each minute that passes. If you help to deliver defibrillation within 5 minutes you could save the person's life.

Just volunteer andou will be fully trained to use a defribillator, CPR and attend to a choking adult, child and infant. We will be delighted to discuss all your questions next Tuesday night 25th Octobder at 7.30p.m. in the Community Hall. Look forward to seeing you there. This Defribillator Programme is dedicated to the Memory of Leo Carthy. COMMUNITY LIBRARY

The President wished good luck to the ladies forming a new Guild in Wexford town this week. Nancy Kelly of Birkenstock Shoes gave us very useful advice on helping foot problems - Nancy was delighted with the number of people who volunteered to have their feet checked on her computer system, which showed up the source of any problems. She was then in a position to receommend suitable shoes or aids in each case. We expect to see lots of women "walking taller" very soon. The competition was won by Roisin Putt and the raffle was won by Roisin Law. Peg & Joan treated us all to a lovely tea - thanks. SCOUTS DISCO
