The Shelmalier GAA club are holding their annual barbwque on Saturday night next, September 24 at the club complex in Hollymount. Tickets cost €15 and are available from all local pubs, shops or from any committee member. A brilliant night is guaranteed with great food and good music. All are welcome. GAA LOTTO

The Castlebridge Gospel Choir will perform at St Iberius Church as part of Wexford Culture Night on Friday next, September 23 at 7.30 p.m. This is a free event and all are very welcome. It promises to be a night of uplifting, energetic songs with a unique mix of pop, folk and gospel music. Do give them your support. Horseshoe tournament The Ally Howlin Perpetual Horseshoe tournament will take place on Sunday next, September 25 commencing at 2 p.m. The tournament will be held in Paddy Donohoe`s field in Curracloe (beside the post office) and all are most welcome. The `beginning of the new school year` Mass will be celebrated this Wednesday, September 21 at 9. 30 a.m. in Curracloe church. Well done to all past pupils who excelled themselves in the Leaving and Junior Certs.

Nifty at fifty exercise classes will commence in Castlebridge hall on Thursday, September 29 and will run until December 8. This will be a low impact exercise to music class that promises to be fun. Niamh is N.C.E.F. qualified and fitpro insured and her most recent qualfication was 'Exercise For the Older Adult`. Bring water and a mat/towel with you to the class. Castlebridge Girl Guides, Briginis and Cygnets will meet up again in Castlebridge community centre on Tuesday, September 20 and Wednesday, September 21. Cygnets meet on Tuesday nights and the Guides and Briginis on Wednesday nights. The committee hope that the girls had a good summer and are ready for a year of fun, games and trips.
