Oylegate ICA held its AGM on Wednesday April 11th. During the past year they are delighted to report that the guild ran very successful flower arranging and embroidery classes and four new members had joined. After the election of officers, Marion Power gave a demonstration of making a bride's bouquet. Host for the evening was Anne Doran.

Nine members attended the Craft Day classes in Colaiste Bride on Saturday 14th. The guild meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new members are welcome.


There will be youth club in Oylegate hall on this Friday evening April 27th from 8.00pm to 10.00pm and the supervisors for the evening are Johnny Reck, Liz Kinsella, Anna Mai Conroy, Margaret Storey and Con Hourihan.


There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €7,800 held in Mernagh's Lounge, Oylegate on Wednesday April 11th. The four Lucky dip winners were Aileen O'gorman, Sue Mernagh, Mylie Cullen and Breda Cody. The next draw will be held on Wednesday April 25th in The Slaney Inn Oylegate for a jackpot of €8,000. Tickets cost just €2 each available from club members.


Tickets for the forthcoming model county development draw are available from club members. Tickets cost 50euro for three draws and the first draw is on April 25th.


The launch of Oylegate Trad fest will take place on Saturday April 28th in Mernagh's of Oylegate at 9.30pm by Mr. Seamus Coleman. All are welcome to come along for the launch Oylegate tradfest will be take place from June 29th to July 1st. There will be ceilis and workshops, sessions galore, and entertainment for all. The ladies mini marathon will be held on Bank Holiday Monday June 4th. Any ladies interested in doing the marathon in aid of Hospice home care please contact Eamon Mernagh for more details.

Gaelic for mammies every Tuesday at Glenbrien National School from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Cost is two euro per session. Ladies you don't have to be a mammy, just aged 18 and over. Have the craic with exercise and ball work. For more info contact Mag at 087 6257847 or Majella on 087 2832134.

The under 12's league starts against the Sarsfields.

Cake Sale: There will be a fundraising cake sale after mass in Glenbrien on Sunday April 29th.
