YOUTH CLUB: There will be Youth Club in Oylegate hall on this Friday evening September 24th from 8pm to 10pm and the supervisors for the evening are Celia Nolan, Seamus Whelan, Bridget O'Neill, and David Parker.


Oylegate/Glenbrien GAA club are holding a Golf Classic on Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd of October at St. Helen's Golf Club. Team of four is €120. Time sheets are now open and contact 053

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot held on Wednesday September 15th in the Slaney Inn Oylegate. The next draw will be held on Wednesday evening September 29th in Mernagh's Lounge Oylegate for a jackpot of €12,000. Tickets cost just €2 each every fortnight, and can be purchased from the GAA Club. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Friends of the Severely Intellectual disabled will hold a church gate collection in Oylegate and Glenbrien on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th of September, 2010.

The rocession and healing service has been rescheduled for Sunday September 26th at 3.00pm. Ceremonies will begin in Oylegate Church with a performance by Wexford Male Voice Choir and will be followed by a procession to the well.


The above group meet every Wednesday morning in Oylegate National School from 9.20am to 10.45am for children from birth to five years old. There is no charge and parents/guardians supervise their own children. New members are welcome.


The following are the names of the winners in the August Storytelling nightTommy Leacy, Oulart, Pat Murphy Ballina Bannow, Mike Murphy Crossabeg, Joe Hickey Tullow, Pat McGill Cooladine and Tommy Thorpe Glenbrien. The next story telling night will be held on this Wednesday September 22nd in Glenbrien National School. Part of the night will be dedicated to the memory of Big John.


An anniversary mass will be held in Piltown on Saturday October 2nd at 6.30pm for the Late Nathan Blackmore. Nathan was a former pupil of Oylegate National School.


Glenbrien parish draw for the month of September will be held on Sunday September 26th following mass.
