YOUTH CLUB

Happy Christmas: Oylegate youth club would like to wish all their members, leaders and helpers a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.

Senior Citizens Party: Oylegate senior citizens party will be held in February 2011, and more information will be available later.

G.A.A. LOTTO

There was no winner of the Lotto draw held recently in the Slaney Inn Oylegate for a Jackpot of €4,600e. The four lucky dip winners were Paul Morgan, Alan Ryan, A. Kent, and Evelyn Khreriff. The next draw will be held on Wednesday evening December 22nd in Mernagh's of Oylegate for a jackpot of €4,800. Tickets cost just €2 each every fortnight, and can be purchased from the G.A.A. Club. All support would be greatly appreciated.

HAMPER DRAW

Oylegate G.A.A. club are also telling tickets for a hamper and the draw for this will take place on this Wednesday December 22nd.

XMAS MASS TIMES

Christmas Mass Times in Oylegate Church: Christmas Eve, Friday 24th: Vigil Mass at 8.00 p.m. Christmas morning, Saturday 25th at 10.30 a.m. There is no Saturday evening Mass on Christmas Day. St Stephen's day: Sunday morning at 10.30 a.m.

Christmas Mass Times in Glenbrien Church: Christmas Eve, Friday 24th December Vigil Mass at 7.00 p.m. Christmas morning, Saturday 25th Decemberat 9.30 a.m. No Saturday evening Mass on Christmas day. St. Stephen's day, Sunday 26th December Mass at 9.30 a.m.

OYLEGATE VINTAGE CLUB

Oylegate Vintage Club would like to thank everyone who supported and helped them during the year with their events which raised much needed funds for the local school, the Cardiac and Oncology Units of Wexford General Hospital and Meals on Wheels.

Key dates for the coming year are: 15th May: Road Run 20th June: Rally Day 25th September: Working and Threshing Day. We would like to wish everyone a happy and joyful Christmas.

PATRICK PADDY DORAN

Glenbrien community and surrounding areas were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Paddy Doran, Borelia, Glenbrien on Sunday December 12th.

His remains were removed to Glenbrien Church on Monday evening with internment to the adjoining cemetery on Tuesday after 11.00am mass. Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, brother, sister, nieces, nephews in laws other relatives and friends.

GLENBRIEN PARISH DRAW

Glenbrien parish draw for the month of December will be held on Sunday December 26th after mass.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION

Carol singing on Christmas Eve around the Big Tree; parents and children are invited to join us for half an hour outside the church on Christmas Eve to sing after Mass--please bring your Santa hats.

JIGS & REELS

Congratulations to Larry Lambert and Orla Quirke on reaching the finals of the Jigs & Reels Contest on Friday night last. Their charity was The Old School Restoration Fund. Thank you to all their sponsors and to those who supported them.

STORY TELLING NIGHT

The following are the names of the raffle winners at the last story telling night-Pat Murphy Rathgarogue, John Candy Carlow, Mick Murphy Crossabeg, Ciss O'Brien Monageer, Seamus Sheil Courtown, Myles Moran Rathgarogue, and Mick Murphy, Crossabeg.

There was a small crowd on the night but Sophie Snell was there and she was very entertaining. The next story telling night will be held on Wednesday December 29th at 8.00pm in the New School Glenbrien weather permitting.

NATIVITY PLAY

There will be Mass and a Nativity play performed by the pupils of Holy Family P.S. in Glenbrien church on Wednesday, 22nd December at 7.00 p.m.

OYLEGATE ICA

The following are the names of the lucky winners drawn from the drum for the Oylegate ICA Christmas Draw-1st prize of a hamper was won by Pat Cody and other winners are Emer Doran, Peg Rogers, Podge Quirke, Paddy Murphy, Eileen McCaffrey, Mary Furlong, Betty Maloney, Niall and Aoife Parker, Sheila Quinn and Eddie Maher.
