The Vintage Rally & Field Day will take place in Oylegate on Sunday 19th June at 1pm and this year the proceeds will go towards the Oylegate Community Centre Fund. All the usual stalls/games and vintage machines/cars on show.

Cake Stall: Once again Oylegate community centre and vintage rally committees would be grateful for some cakes - breads for our stall on the 19th of June for the field. Goods can be left in the morning of the day or given to any member of the committee. Thanks for your support.


Oylegate Youth Club are holding a Bottle Stall in conjunction with the Vintage Rally on Sunday the 19th June. Members / Parents who wish to donate bottles etc are asked to leave same to Gretta Quigley in the days prior to the 19th or leave them into the hall on Saturday evening the 18th June between 6.30p.m. and 8p.m.


U8, U9, U10 & U11: A meeting will take place in Oylegate Hall on Sunday, 19th June from 7-8pm for all children wishing to play soccer next season. Every child must attend the meeting with a parent. Oylegate United.

U16 & U18: A meeting will take place in Oylegate Hall on Sunday, 19th June at 8:30pm for all U16 and U18 players wishing to play soccer next season. Every player must attend the meeting with a parent as the position of team coaches were not filled at the recent AGM. If we fail to fill the positions at this meeting the teams will not be entered for next season.


Best of luck to the Rackard League team when they play in the county final on Tuesday evening at 7.45pm in Wexford Park against Crossabeg/Ballymurn.


The field Day that was planned for the 26th of June the day of the Pattern has been postponed until the end of Aug. because the date planned clashes with the first day of the Strawberry Fair, However there will be tea and refreshments available on the day after the graveyards service in the school for anyone who would like to avail of them. All donations of cakes, buns and sandwiches on the morning of the Pattern would be greatly appreciated.


The Story telling group had a great night at the last session with songs recitations, yarns great music and craic. Ballymurn Mummers paid us a visit and provided some great entertainment, thank to everyone involved. The prize-winners on the night were Mary Mernagh Glenbrien, Myles Moran Ratherogue, Wallie Winters Wexford, Sean Furlong Ballindaggin, and Joe Hickey Tullow. First Holy Communion: Congratulations to Cian Mc Cormack, Ellen Creed, Elliott Killeen, Amy Lambert, Laura Doyle, and Shannon Morris who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday last in Glenbrien, hope that you all had a lovely day.


Glenbrien Community and surrounding areas were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mollie Murphy Clonmore Glenbrien. Her remains were removed to Glenbrien Church on Tuesday evening June 7th and internment to the adjoining cemetery followed 11.00am mass in Glenbrien Church on Wednesday. Deepest sympathy is extended to her son, daughters, in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren other relatives and neighbours. May she Rest in Peace.
