The Parents' Association would like to take the opportunity to say "thank you" to outgoing Chair Person, Fleur Creed for all her work on the committee during the year. We would also like to welcome the new Chair-Person - David Kelly, ViceChair Person Brian Sludds; Secretary - Rosie Kelly; Treasurer - Bairbre Fitzhenry; PRO - Edel Kelly, and Parents' Rep. BOM - Bridget Atkinson.

A kids Halloween Disco will take place on Friday 28th October at 7.30pm in the school. The disco is open to all children and their parents/guardians who attend the school.

Meet & Greet evening: The Parents' Association wish to thank all the parents/guardians who turned up to meet and greet the new parents and the new teacher Ms. Gaynor, along with the other teachers on Friday night last. A lovely night was had by all, a special thank you to Mrs. Ann McLoughlin for speaking on Resource Teaching. OLD SCHOOL RESTORATION

A Demonstration Night in aid of the Old School Restoration will take place on Friday the 2nd of December at 8pm in the new school. Tickets on sale €5.00. STORY TELLING SESSION

A fantastic night was had by all on Wednesday night. Great music and memories of Big John (RIP)/ Winners of prizes on the night were Wally Winters, Wexford; Robert Lambert, Crossabeg; Pat Murphy, The Ballagh; Joe Hickey; Myles Heffernan, Kilcotty; Nicky Furlong, Clondaw; Tommy Leacey, Kilnamanagh; Mary Mernagh, Middletown; Jim O'Neill, Davidstown.

Congratulations to everyone and many thanks to all who come along month after month, and to all who helped on the night, and who brought food/refreshments. Next session will take place on Wednesday 26th October, venue and time will be confirmed next week. ROSE MOULTON RIP

Oylegate community and surrounding areas were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Rose Moulton Coolanick Oylegate on Saturday 8th October. Her remains were removed to St David's Church Oylegate on Sunday evening, with internment to the adjoining cemetery following 12 noon mass on Monday. Deepest sympathy is extended to her sons, daughters, in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. May she Rest in Peace. COFFEE MORNINGS

A coffee morning in aid of the Cats and dog home will be held on Thursday 27th October in Mernagh's Lounge Oylegate at 11.00am. All support would be greatly appreciated.

On Wednesday 12th October in Glenbrien National School Leona Tector had the difficult job of choosing the winning jersey design with over forty entrants for the Oylegate Glenbrien ladies gaelic football club competition. The standard wasonly fabulous. A big thank you to all the girls who took part. The winner is Lauren O'Rourkeof Oylegate, Topper. Thank you to Leona Tector for giving of her time.

We started with 13 girls four weeks ago and now have 22 training in Oylegate Parish Hall every Monday from 6.30 to 7.30pm. Cost is €. 7 to 12 year old girls are all welcome. For more information contact Jonathan 0877583773. PARENT AND TODDLER

Come join us at our Parent & Baby/Toddler group every Wednesday morning in Oylegate National School from 9.20am to 10.45am. All ages from newborns to preschool are very welcome. There is no charge and parents/ guardians supervise their own children. New members are welcome - it's a great opportunity for the little ones to make new friends and the parents too!
