FORTH CELTIC FC

Preparations are under way at present to celebrate the Clubs 40 Years in 2012. Activities and events are being organized for June Bank Holiday Weekend. Events will commence on Friday 1st June 2012, run through the weekend and will be finish up on Sunday 3rd June, following the official opening of New Club House and Pitches, with a Dinner Dance in Talbot Hotel.

It is hoped that all members of the Club past and present will join together over the weekend to join in the Celebrations. If anyone has any photo's of Club Teams/events/committees taken down through the years or any information relating to the Club's History or Memorial Moments that they would like to share please contact Caroline (086) 6006821.

Lotto numbers for 10th October were 2,4,5,7,3,6,1; no winner; next Draw on 17th October in The Mountain Bar. Jackpot €800.

Members of the committee will be calling shortly to houses in Murrintown/ Piercestown Area with details of prizes and tickets for the Forth Celtic Development Draw, which takes place on Friday 9th December in Jordan's Bar. Tickets are €10. Once again your continued support is very much appreciated ICA GUILD

The monthly meeting of the ICA took place in St martins Centre on 11th October. President Emma Sane welcomed everybody. The Secretary gave her report of all events happening in the ICA guild.

The ladies decorated the church for the haverest thanksgiving. There was a lovely mass and Siobhan Whelan recieved the certificate on bahalf of the ladies for 60 years of the ICA.

Their Certificate was presented by regional President Breda Banville. The next meeting will be in St. Martin's centre on 8th November with new members always welcome. HOCKEY GIRLS

Well done to the six girls who are representing the South East province in the All Ireland Inter Provincial hockey tournaments under 16 years and under 18 years in Belfast next weekend 22nd and 23rd October. Those taking part are Under 16s - Ellen Barrett, Anna Corcoran, Aisling Cronin, Kate O'Connor, Under 18s Marieclare Morrissey, Jane Barrett. This is a great achievement for the parish and the girls well done and good luck for the games. ACTIVE RETIREMENT

On Monday 31st October the ARA club are organising a walk in aid of Heart Foundation in Rosslare Strand at approx. 2pm, meeting at Church Car Park.

On 1st November Drinagh Garden centre have been invited by the ARA Club to give talk on garden issues at 2.15 pm. All are welcome.

On 29th November there is a day trip away to Kilkenny Castle with tour of Castle and afternoon free at own discretion in Kilkenny City stopping off at Stanville Lodge for an evening meal on the way home. Price and times to be advised later.
