COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last weeks jackpot, the numbers drawn were 15, 20, 22 and 26. Congratulations to the 4 match 3 winners who each receive ¤75. They were Mary King, Adam Ffrench, Paddy Martin, Tom Doyle. This week's jackpot stands at ¤17,800.

EASTER CEREMONIES

Holy Thursday, April 1 – Mass of the Lord's Supper, 7pm in Rathangan and 8pm in Cleariestown. You are encouraged to spend some time in quiet prayer before the Lord at the altar of repose.

Good Friday, April 2 — Celebration of the Lords Passion, 2.30pm in Cleariestown and 4pm in Rathangan.

Holy Saturday, April 3—Easter Vigil, 9pm in Rathangan and 9pm in Cleariestown. Remember to bring a candle

Easter Sunday, April 4 – 10am in Cleariestown and 11am in Rathangan.

PARISH HALL

The Rathangan Parish Hall Committee held their AGM on Wednesday March 24. An auditor, Michael O'Leary & Co, was appointed for the hall accounts. The audited accounts are available to the public on request at the Parish Hall.

COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Cleariestown Community Library would like to wish all our members a very happy Easter. We are open as usual, Monday 10am - 4.30pm, Tuesday 10am - 8.30pm, Wednesday 10am - 12.30pm, Friday 10am - 12.30pm. We will be closed Good Friday, April 2.

The library has new books for age range 5 - 13 bought from the proceeds of our Coffee Morning. Once again, many thanks to all who helped and supported us.

SALT BLESSING

The Blessing of the salt will take place on Easter Sunday Morning. Salt can be left in front of St. Joseph's alter. Please remember to label your salt to save confusion later.

LADIES FUNDRAISER

St. Anne's Ladies Camogie and Football Club are holding a table quiz in the Scaville Lodge on April 9 at 8.30pm. Table of four ¤40. All support needed.

ST. ANNE'S GAA CLUB

Both the Senior and Junior hurlers continued their league campaigns at the weekend. The Juniors were first up with a game against Adamstown in Newbawn which they lost narrowly on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-13.

The Seniors were in action on Sunday in Hollymount where they took on the Shelmaliers, after a close fought game the teams couldn't be separated and it finished with a scoreline of 0-19 to 1-16.

COMMUNITY MEETING

COMMUNITY PLAYSCHOOL

Application forms for the term starting Sept 2010 are now available for children who are eligible for the E.C.C.E. scheme. The scheme offers free playschool places to the child in the year prior to starting school.
