There was no winner of last weeks Jackpot, the numbers drawn were 1, 3, 15, 29.

Cleariestown Credit Union held their AGM last Thursday night in the credit union in Baldwinstown. The Board of Directors proposed a dividend of 1% on savings and 12.5% rebate on interest on members' loans, which was passed on the night.

Two former members of the Board of Directors retired: Joe Sinnott after 25 years voluntary service and Paula Furlong after 17 years of voluntary service. Compliments were given by the Chairman and the Treasurer of the Board of Directors on their tireless work. This received a heart warming round of applause. New members elected on the Board of Directors were Enda Sinnott and Eileen Cullen.

The Board also thanked the members for attending the AGM and wished everyone a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Bannow-Rathangan Vintage Club will hold its seventh annual vintage ploughing event on Sunday, January 2.

As well as the vintage ploughing, there will be vintage displays, ladies ploughing and tractor pulling to enjoy on what promises to be a fun-filled day!

This year's event will be held in Rathangan and gets underway at 11 a.m. All proceeds are in aid of Wexford Hospice Homecare.

The Bannow-Rathangan Vintage Club raised €7,500 towards this very worthy cause last time around and are hoping that people will once again give generously.


The Board at Grantstown Day Carewould like to sincerely thank all of the kind people in this local community that have held fundraising events in aid of Grantstown over the last year.

The Christmas party at the Stanville went well and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you Jim for the music and to the Clongeen Forge Vintage Club who generously donated the money for this party. The Board would like to say a special thank you to Noel for delivering the Meals on Wheels, whatever the weather and also Tom, Paul and Ted who have kindly used their jeeps to help the residents get out and about over the last two weeks! Thank you once again for your continuous support.
