Rathangan notes

Also you can e-mail your notice to rathanganhall@gmail.com. At the latest all notes must be received by 10am on Friday morning.

COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €3,000.The numbers drawn were 7,9,17,22 Congratulations to the 11 match 3 winners who each received €27. The winners were Mary Kiernan, Jack Murphy, Alice Jordan, Angela Sinnott, Bill Nolan, Ann Byrne, Paul Monaghan, Wendy Staunton, Frank Jones, Wayne O'Leary, Philip Foley. This week's jackpot stands at €3,300. The next draw will take place on Tuesday 24th July 2012. Good Luck to all.

THE BEN WADDING TRUST

A group of hill walkers are currently completing The Four Peaks Challenge over the four weekends of July to raise money for The Ben Wadding Trust. All money raised will be used to purchase specific equipment for children in receipt of chemotherapy at St.John's Ward, Crumlin Children's Hospital ,in memory of Ben.

The challenge entails climbing the highest peak in each of the four provinces within a given period. Mweelrea,Carrauntoohil and Slieve Donard have been completed,Lugnaquilla next weekend.If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause,Carmel Rochford will gratefully accept your donation on behalf of the walkers.

TABLE QUIZ

There will be a table quiz in aid of The Niall Mellon Trust on Wednesday 25 th July in John Sinnott's pub Duncormick at 8pm. A table of four is €20. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Contact Eileen on 087-9872420 for further information .

FASTNET ROVERS FC

Fastnet Rovers will be having a 7 a side competition senior and underage in memory of the late Wally Kehoe on Bank Holiday Monday, August 6th. It will also be a fun day with activities such as bouncy castles, bottle stall, burger stand etc. The teams that are competing in 7 a side are from clubs that Wally played with, Corach Ramblers, Stoney Rovers and Taghmon United. As this is also a fundraiser your support on the day would be much appreciated. Further details will follow.

CLEARIESTOWN LIBRARY

Cleariestown Library is currently closed until new staffing arrangements are in place. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

ST. ANNE'S GAA

The Senior footballers lost the league final to Kilanerin at the weekend on a 0-7 to 0-4 scoreline. Championship football returns this weekend versus Fethard on Friday eve in New Ross at 7.30pm. The U21 hurlers had a good 2-16 to 1-12 win over Cloughbawn in Rathangan. They play Rapparees in the quarter final on Tuesday evening 31st July in Bellefield. The St Annes GAA golf outing will be held at Rosslare GC on Friday 27th July. Interested parties can contact Donal at 085 1746416. Many thanks for your continued support.

HOT TO TROT

Hot to Trot are holding a charity horse and trap drive on Sunday 29th July in Rathangan at noon. It costs €20 per horse and trap. All proceeds are in aid of The Ben Wading Trust. For further details contact Nicola Stone on 0873546460.

SKITTLES FINALS

The South East Skittles Finals will take place on Wednesday 25th July in Carrig Ball Alley at 7pm sharp. Doyles vs Tallacht followed by Rathangan vs St Leonards. Presentation and music afterwards in Doyles Pub. All welcome, see you there.
