ROSSLARE HARBOUR

ST. PAUL'S ATHLETIC CLUB

A fund raising raffle was held in Murphy's Super Value Rosslare Harbour on Saturday 4th last. Thank you to all who gave terrific support which helped raise in excess of €550 towards the running of the club. On the same evening a number of the senior men's team competed in a 4 mile road race in Ferns.

Ger Maloney was as usual the top athlete from the club finishing in a very strong time and high place. Eoin O'Neill, Peter & Paul Connick made up the team and all put in fine performances. Special mention goes to Paul, who had a very memorable night on his debut for the club, setting a personal best for the distance. Training has started again for those athletes taking part in cross county events. Training is on in Kilrane school at 6 pm on Monday evenings & Wednesday evenings at the track in Rosslare, also at 6 pm.

REUNION PARTY

There will be a reunion party for all British Rail, Sealink and Stena Line crew members past and present on Friday 24th September 2010 at 8pm in the Railway Social Club, Rosslare Harbour.

Music by Strange Behaviour. Tickets €10, available from Brendan O'Gorman on 0879604736 or on the door on the night.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES

The Helen Cloke School of Irish Dancing will resume on Thursday, 16th September in the Railway Social Club and will continue every Monday and Thursday thereafter. Beginners 5.30 - 6.30 and advanced 6.30 - 8. All new members welcome. For further details contact 087 9586726.

ROSSLARE PORT FC

Rosslare Port Football Club is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. To commemorate this we are having a 25th Anniversary Dinner Dance in Danby Lodge on Friday, 22nd October. Tickets are €30 per person and include music afterwards.

Tickets can be purchased from Club Secretary Ellen Walsh on 085 2142864. The Club are also looking for old pictures of the Rosslare Port Services team. If you have any pictures or paper clippings please contact Ellen.

Our lotto is now at €13,900. Lotto tickets can be bought in the shops, hotels and pubs of from club members in the area. South East Soccer Draw tickets can also be purchased from club members.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

There will be a church gate collection next Saturday and Sunday, 18th and 19th September for the benefit of Friends of Severely Intellectually Disabled. Your support would be appreciated.

AEROBICS CLASSES

Aerobics and body conditioning classes starting 6th October in the Railway Social Club. Every Wednesday night 8 - 9 p.m. Enrolment night 29th September at 8 p.m. - 8 week course (2 stage payment). For details or to book your place please contact Denise on 087 9942271. Minimum class 12.

ACTIVE RETIRED

Harbour Drifters Walkabout Monday and Thursday at 11am. outside the Best Western Hotel for a leisurely walk of approximately 1 hour. You don't have to be a member to join us as everyone is more than welcome.

Whist Every Tuesday at 2.30pm.to 4.30 pm Railway Social Club.Bowls: Thursdays in the Railway Social Club. Knitting and Sewing group: Friday Mornings. As usual it will be held in the Harbour View Hotel

We are organising An Ecumenical Remembrance service for our deceased members on Sunday 19 September in St Patricks Church, Rosslare Harbour at 3pm. We would welcome members, relatives and friends to join us in some light refreshments in the Railway Social Club after the service.

ST. MARY'S GAA LOTTO

Lotto draw for 6th September: there were no winners of the jackpot. The numbers were,6,13,20,24. Bonus 38, We had 1 match 3 winner Next week's Jackpot is €15,400.

TUSKAR SEA SCOUTS

A registration night will take place for all existing and new members of the Beavers and Cubs Section in the Kilrane National School on Tuesday 21st September from 6pm - 7pm.

A deposit of €20 per Beaver / Cub will be required on the night to secure a place for the coming year.

Our weekly meetings will commence on Tuesday 28th September.
