St. Paul's AC had a successful weekend in Tullamore at Leinster Juvenile championships. Despite challenging weather conditions athletes continued to perform to the best of their ability against the best in Leinster.

The highlight of Tara Connick's weekend came when she took bronze in the U14 discus, she also competed in the 1500m and javelin; Shauna NicAogain was 2nd in the U18 800m and Kieran Murphy won the U18 hammer.

In the U19 action Emma Owens once again came away with a handful of medals taking bronze in the shot and hammer and gold in the discus, she also broke her previous best with a throw of 38.10m in the discus; meanwhile Simon Mernagh won his high jump and was 2nd in the triple jump. All of these athletes have now qualified for All-Ireland championships.

David MacAogain was in action in the UL versus Harvard/ Yale meet in Limerick on Sunday where he ran a competitive 400m race. Well done to all.
