ST PAUL'S AC

Many thanks to all who turned out to support the annual Easter Road Races last Sunday. An enjoyable morning of racing was enjoyed by spectators and competitors alike. Meanwhile Denise Wickham and Shane Connick have successfully started their track season at the Munster Intervarsity championship in CIT Training continues at 6pm Mondays (Kilrane), Wednesdays (Rosslare Strand) and Fridays (Rosslare, older athletes only). Next up our collegiate athletes will be competing at the National Intervarsities in Athlone on Friday and Saturday April 20th and 21st, good luck to all.

DAFFODIL DAY

Well done everyone! The recent Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day collection came to €3,920 that was nearly €500 up on last year. Many thanks to Des and Alan of Murphy's Supervalu, Rosslare Harbour for allowing us to collect on their premises and for the assistance given during the day; to the ladies who collected in Killinick and Rosslare Strand; to those that allowed collection boxes on their premises; to the volunteers on the day; to the team that sold daffodils on the day at Supervalu; those that donated fresh daffodils and last but not least thank you to all you generous people of the areas - you did not let us down.

TUSKAR ROCK GOLF CLUB

Free Sub Competition: Sunday 1st April was the club's first Order of merit competition with the staging of our annual free sub comp. Joe Delaney took the honors with a nett 65 only 1 shot better than John Mythen with a nett 66, Pat O'connor hit a nett 67 to take 3rd place. Singles stableford 08-04-12 Jason Doyle won his first club competition with 41 points closely followed by John Butler and Derek Bradley also hitting 41 points each.

Results 1st April: 1st Joe Delaney (6) nett 65 2nd John Mythen (16) nett 66 3rd Pat O'connor (8) nett 67. Results 08-0412 1st Jason Doyle (20) 41 pts after count back 2nd John Butler (15) 41 pts after count back 3rd Derek Bradley (15) 41 pts.

Competitions: Holmpatrick cup will take place on Sunday 22nd April. Time sheet is open , Format is Fourball. Winners will represent the club in county final. Our Leinster Fourball team Played Wexford GC last week and lost 4-1, well done to the players and all involved and good luck to Wexford in the competition. Our Barton Cup team will play Wexford GC on Saturday 21st April. Support from members is appreciated. Good luck to the guys.

Table Quiz in the R.S.C. Friday 20th April at 8.30 pm, €20 per table. In aid of Nurture Africa which is a Charity operating in Uganda with Irish Health Staff to provide Health Care and Education to those children who have been born with H.I.V. and Aids. Please support this worthy cause.

Please Note: Ageing With Confidence next session will be held at the Harbour View Hotel on Monday 16th April from 2 to 4.30 pm. The facilitators for the training will be Ann Dunne and Kay O'riordan.

Don't Forget the Bealtaine The May Festival on 18th and 19th May. Arts and Crafts Exhibition in the Harbour View Hotel. Articles will be on sale. Opening at 2 pm. on Friday 18th followed by a Cheese and Wine Reception at 7 pm.

Rosslare Rangers AFC would like to express their sincere condolences to the families of Paddy Byrne, father of Shane Byrne (senior club), and Billy Devereux, grandfather of Lee Devereux (Senior Club) and father of John, Dec, Damien and Kevin (committee members) May they rest in peace.

There were plenty of matches this week, both mid week and weekend. 1st Team played at home on today against Wexford Celtic. Score was 2.2 and scorers for the Rangers were Lee Devereux and Paul Culleton2nd Team had no match and their season has now finished.under 16's -vFerns at home. Result was 7.0 to the Rangers, and the scorers were Ryan Meyler (3 goals) Ian Redmond, Sean Finan, Jason Ellard and Ciaran Sheilunder 14's -v- St Cormac's at home. Result 1.3. Scorer for the Rangers was David Gouldsonunder 14's -v- Bree at home. Result 3.5. Scorers Aaron Callaghan, Adam Devereux, and David Gouldsonunder 11's -v- All Blacks, at home. Result 7.0. This fine score continues their unbeaten record, well done to all involved.

Once again, thanks to all the adults and parents who have helped out over this week, and who consistently give their time to attend matches both home and away.

CAMOGIE

Congratulations to all who took part in the first U10 Cluster Blitz held on Saturday 14th April, at home, well done to all the girls from St Annes, Rathangan and Kilmore for a great morning.

Well done to the Junior C team who played against Clongeen on Sunday 15th April. All team members played really well. Keep up the good work girls.

Hurls are available to buy from the Club. Helmets are in stock and cost €50. Socks also availableand cost €5 per pair. The sock is the club sock and it is COMPULSORY that all girls wear them in club matches. Hoody's can be ordered also and take 3 weeks from date of order. The cost of a hoody is €25. Training is now in full swing, with all girls training on Mondays at 6.30 - 7.30 and U10/12/14's training also on Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm.
