SALE OF WORK

The annual Sale of Work in aid of St Brigid's Church, Rosslare, takes place in Scoil Mhuire, on Sunday 5th June from 10am to 1 pm. Items for same would be gratefully received, such as toys, books, jewellery, unwanted gifts, bottles for bottle stall, plants and cakes of all descriptions. Contact 91 32104

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Upcoming events: Thursday 2nd June "Blooms in the Park" Names and money are being taken at the Coffee Morning in the Golf Club, 23rd May @ 10.45 am. Bus will leave 8.30 am sharp from Rosslare Strand. Cost is ?50. This includes the coach entrance fee to the park and 3 course meal at Amber Springs Hotel. 5.30 - 6 pm approx time.

Rosslare Harbour are organising a trip to Roscarberry, Cork 11th -16th September - €310. Please support the Harbour on this. Trips each day. Celtic Ross Hotel. Contact Teresa 087 2735508 or Vera.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Rosslare Historical Society will host a talk by David Maloney on Rosslare Liftboats. David will talk on all aspects of the lifeboats both past and present within the Rosslare and surrounding areas. The talk will take place in 2 weeks time on Monday 30th May at Kelly's Resort Hotel. All welcome with no cover charge.

WOMEN'S MINI MARATHON

If you need transport to the Women's Mini Marathon there is a Mini bus leaving Rosslare at 10.30am on the 6th of June. Seats available contact Carol Deevy on 0851368061

TIDY TOWNS

The judges will be checking out our lovely village any day now. This year we would like to introduce some new ideas that will help you to become more involved. "Watch your own patch" this means you take responsibility for the space in front of your house or business make sure its litter and weed free. "Donate a plant" if your growing flowers from seed or dividing plants at home why donate some to the community and help make Rosslare beautiful.
