Camross Drama group will hold its annual Table Quiz in Taghmon/Camross GAA complex on Friday 24th September at 8.30pm. Table of four €20. Raffle and lots of spots. The next drama meeting will be held in the Old School, Caroreigh on Mon 20th Sept at 8pm. All members are invited to attend.


Well done to u12 girls who had a successful outcome in the county semi final against St. Annes on Tuesday 7th Sept emberin Taghmon.The final score was 5-7 to 3-4 with scores coming from Aisling Whelan 3-2, Rachel Delaney 2-4 and Claire O'Gorman 0-1.

Full panel was the above girls plus Roisin Nolan, Gillian Banville, Amy McGee, Louise Murphy, Rachel Murray, Annie Stafford, Jessie Doyle, Aoibhinn Butler, Clodagh Dunne, Annie O'Gorman, Rachel Hayes, Rebecca Rowe, Clodagh Dempsey, Clodagh Dee, Clara Mai Doyle, Nicole Cadogan, Davina Murphy and Ciara Kavanagh.

Well done to manager, Bernard O'Gorman and his mentors on the wonderful success of this team who will now meet Ballygarrett in the final on a date to be arranged.

Remember the club will hold a Poker Classic on Friday 5th November and the AGM will be held on Friday 22nd October.


As part of the Club's 25th year anniversary celebrations, a 'come and try' afternoon is being held on Saturday 25th September 2010 in the Community Centre. It will be outdoors, weather permitting, from 3pm to 5pm. Sports Active Wexford is kindly sponsoring the event.. This event is open to all boys and girls BORN in 2001 or BEFORE 2001.

This event is open to members and nonmembers who wish to try out athletics and then may wish to join the club. Events will be mainly field events e.g. ball throw, long jump, shot put and javelin. Certificates will be given to all participants. Light refreshments will be served.


Well done to the Taghmon players who competed in the Sligo Open, their first tournament of the Season. Clodagh Dunne and Ciara Dunne reached the finals of the Girls Singles. Nicholas Murphy who reached all three Semi Finals.

Taghmon B.C. is off to a good start every Monday and Thursday Night. Primary School Children 6.45 to 8 p.m., Teenagers 8 to 9 p.m., Teenagers who stay after 9 p.m. (pay an extra €1.5O per night to help pay for feather shuttles) to play with the Adults.

Children/Teenagers please bring bottled water with you, as no one is allowed to leave the hall for health and safety reasons.


A cabaret in aid of the Taghmon Musical Society will be held in Jacksie's Pub on Saturday 18th Sept at 9 p.m. Music will be provided by Castlebridge Trad Group and food will be provided.

Tickets are available at the door or through the Society Secretary , costing €3.00 per person or €5 per couple. Come along and enjoy a great night's entertainment.
