In the second half the Taghmon team battled hard and with only seconds remaining Cathal Murphy scored the equaliser to end the game in a 2-2 draw. COISTE NA NOG

Congratulations to the U14 boys who completed the double in the Div 1 Football final last Thursday in Wexford Park. St Martins were the opponents for this Final and even though they had a strong team they were not able to overcome the Taghmon/ Camross team.

The Taghmon/ Camross boys were really up for this game and still full of confidence from the previous victory in the Hurling final and went in at half time with a 5 point cushion. In the second half St Martins started strongly but the determination and will to win by the Taghmon/ Camross boys was very evident and they fully deserved the win. The final score was Taghmon/ Camross 2-8 St Martins 0-5.

Congratulations to the u16 football team who won their 12 a side semi-final against Sarsfields last Tuesday night in Taghmon. The team started very strongly with an early goal and never looked like giving up that early lead and ran out comfortable winners in the end. Even though the night was misty and damp the team played some very attractive Football considering the conditions and we wish them all the best in the Final. FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE
