Remember the 40th anniversary dance will be held in Camross Ballroom on Friday 6th July from 10pm to 1am with music by El Paso, Eugene French and Blue Lace. The committee are searching for memorabilia, old photogaphs, post cards of bands etc, if anyone is successful in their search contact Breda Banville. Adm to dance €4, a memorable night is certain.

A coffee day in aid of Console will be held at the home of Denis and Breda Banville, Camross on Saturday 14th July from 10am to 10pm.


The ladies of Camross ICA will hold an Art and Craft exhibition on this Sunday 1st July at the Vintage Rally, Rourkes Cross. The guild will visit Cobh Heritage Centre, Fota gardens and Cork English market on Monday 2nd July for annual outing.


Another great day was had by all at Druids Glen last weekend. Our annual challenge match against Kilmacud Crokes took place, resulting in a draw.The score was 7-5.

The results of our singles competition is as follows: First Place - Jim McGee, Second Place - Joe Doyle, Third Place - Aidan Cullen, Fourth Place - Andy Culleton, Fifth Place - Marks Morrisey. Our next outing is to Tramore Golf Club. A member of the committee will be in touch with each member to confirm places.


All roads lead to Rourkescross, Foulksmills on the weekend of 30th June and 1st July for Castle Vintage Club Working Weekend in Aid of Wexford Woman Refuge and Jack & Jill Foundation.

On Saturday 30th June there is music by Folk Band (Folk Sake) Door Prize and BBQ. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased from any Vintage Club Member/ Ring 087 1522829 or at the Door on the night.

Sunday 1st July see threshing, Saw Bench, Tractor Pulling, Sheep Shearing Competition, Donkey Derby, ICA Display, Children Races and all the usual stalls. You won't go home hungry as we have Roast Pig on the Spit served with Potatoes, Onions, Mushrooms, Stuffing and Apple Sauce or Pigs feet and Colcannon.

Caroreigh Parents Council would like to extend their sympathy to Breda Byrne on the recent loss of her brother Martin Byrne (RIP).

Bishop Brennan will be officially opening the new extension in Caroreigh National School on 28th June. Mass will be at 11.30am. All are welcome.

The Centre will be closing to groups from Monday, 2nd July and re-opening again on Monday 15th July.

The Men's Shed is now located in the industrial park. Any man interested in seeing the new premises and taking part can call down on Tuesday afternoon between 2-6pm or contact Ray at the centre for more information

A new group has started at the Centre for ladies on Wednesday mornings from 10.30am. The group is open to new members and the focus is on health and wellbeing in a fun and informal way.
