MAKING CYCLING accessible to all was top of the agenda at an event hosted as part of last week's National Bike Week.

A group of clients from Ard Aoibhinn attended the event and brought along with them their adapted bicycles to demonstrate that people with disabilities can cycle but as always safety must remain paramount.

Loftus Hall Bike Tours were on hand to run through checks of safety features on the bikes before the group took off around the car park of Wexford County Council buildings.

Michael Benson of the National Council for the Blind in Ireland was also on hand to facilitate members of the blind community trying their hand at cycling.

Grainne Kelly of Sports Active Wexford described the event as a huge success as a large crowd turned out to take part in the event.
