A Tractor Run like no other will take place on Sunday afternoon, with all funds raised going towards the MRI Now campaign.

Wexford's many vintage clubs have teamed up to hold the event, which they expect will attract over 300 tractors, cars and other types of vehicle as the run is open to all. The event takes place on Sunday morning, with sign-on at 11 a.m. in Enniscorthy Mart and departure at noon.

The route will take participants out the N11 to Ferns and Ballycarney on a 20km loop.

Entry is €25 and includes food on returning to the Mart. All are welcome to take part.

Pat Monaghan, one of the event organisers, explained that all Vintage Clubs collected for charity, saying that the MRI Now campaign was one that was constantly in the news.

'Obviously you would hope that you'll never need it but it's very important to have it. There are people waiting weeks to have these scans done and it's one of those things that you would think the hospital should have without having to fundraise for it.'

Anyone wishing to donate can do so online. The event's IBAN is: IE97BOFI90674276204296, and BIC is BOFIE2D.
