Tractors turn out for fundraiser

Almost 80 tractors turned out in glorious sunshine for the recent Tractor Run Fund Raiser on behalf of Killurin Rowing Club.

Clubs travelled from far and near to participate in the event and numbers were well up on previous years. Gratitude is extended to anyone who helped in any way including the participants, the sponsors, the marshals and last but not least the ladies with the refreshments. A great day was had by all. Thank you all for your support.

On the field: Not a great week on the camogie front as despite good performances our seniors, U16s and U12s suffered defeats, however our minor footballers had a great win over Davidsgate and have a chance of qualifying for the county semi finals.

Club Lotto: Last weeks lotto numbers were 2, 6, 11 and 25. There was no overall winner but seven people matched 3 numbers to share in €250. Murt Flood, Pascal Cooney, Julie Kearney, Liam Blackburn, Roisin Doyle, Mark Flood, & Niall Donoghue. Next draw takes place in Mary Jos Barntown on 1st August and the jackpot will be €4,000.

FERRYCARRIG ROWING CLUB

The club had a very successful first regatta at Edermine with medals at both junior and senior level. The regatta was very well supported and a big thanks to all you came out in the Ferrycarrig colours to cheer the crews on, despite the bad weather on Sunday. All attention now turns to St. Kearns for next Sunday's regatta.
