A man in his 80s has died following a two car crash near Enniscorthy
An 81-year-old man has died in a two car crash close to Enniscorthy.
The collision happened on the north bound section of the N11 at Ballylough between Enniscorthy and Ferns at approximately 10.30pm on Monday, January 12.
The man who died was the driver of one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to Wexford General Hospital. A female passenger in her 50s was also taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment to injuries which are being described as serious.
Two people travelling in the other car failed to remain at the scene.
The N11 between Scarawalsh and Ferns is currently closed for a forensic examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
