A treat for Irish readers

WEXFORD author and passionate Irish speaker Colm Mac Confhaola has just had his latest literary offering launched at Wexford library.

Colm, from Peter Street, has penned the Irish language novel Aoibhinn Beatha An Scolaire, a fictional piece about student life.

The book, which tackles topics as diverse as murder and unrequited love, was published by Coiscéim, and was launched by Wexford mayor Cllr. Joe Ryan at Wexford town library on Thursday.

Among those present were the chief executive of the publishing house Fergus Ó Snodaigh, along with members of Club Leabhar Gaeilge, the Irish language book club which meets monthly at Wexford library.

The club has selected Colm's new book for their next discussion, and were delighted to have some new material to peruse.

Colm, who is married to Marion, is a former school teacher and has had several books published in the Irish language.

The book is available in bookstores nationally, and through the Wexford library services.
