A yo-ho-ho and a barn dance of fun

SHIVER ME TIMBERS. There were pirates a plenty in Curracloe as the village announced details of its annual charity Barn Dance.

Now in its eight year, the event will take place on Michael Cloney's farm on Saturday, July 28.

The fancy dress theme for this year's barn dance is - you guessed it -pirates.

The organisers are hoping to raise financial treasure for Wexford MS which provides support services for people with Multiple Sclerosis and Cottage Autism, a support group for families affected by Autism.

'We want to turn Curracloe into Pirates of the Caribbean for one night only,' said Michael Cloney.

'We know many people are in financial difficulty, so we've reduced the price of the tickets this year,' he told the launch attendance.

'However, I can assure everyone that despite the reduced price, the quality of the event will still be high.'

He promised that the organisers would 'walk the plank' if not.
