Accused of damaging gates during theft
FORTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD Michael Murphy of High Street, Taghmon stood accused last week of theft at Kilgarvan in Taghmon on February 4.
It was further alleged that two entrance gates were damaged in the course of the crime. The cost of the damage was put at €250.
Appearing at the District Court on Tuesday, Garda Inspector Pat Cody accepted that Murphy had made no admission of guilt in the matter. He was ordered by Judge Gerard Haughton to supply solicitor Cormac Dunleavy with a copy of all statements in the case, which was adjourned to September 11.
