An adventurous kitten could very well be down to eight lives after a brush with death last Wednesday morning,

Taxi driver Andy Kehoe travelled from his home in Rosslare Harbour to Dr Ravi's clinic in Clonard but when he emerged from the surgery and got into his car he had a stowaway unknown to himself.

A tiny black kitten had managed to climb into his engine while he was in the surgery.

Andy got into his car and drove from Clonard to Rocklands where he stopped to get fuel.

When he pulled in a man and woman went over to him telling him there was a very funny sound, similar to squealing coming from his car.

Opening up the bonnet Andy who works for ASAP Cabs found the terrified kitten.

He managed to calm down the frightened kitten and removed it from the engine before bringing it to the WSPCA. The little kitten was treated for minor burns and is currently being cared for by the WSPCA as its owners still haven't been located.
