A partly collapsed manhole on Thomas Street, Wexford, which has not been fixed since 2014, is causing many pedestrians to trip over and now a local man has appealed for it to be fixed before the inevitable happens.

'About six people have tripped over it now. I slipped on it one day and nearly fell, it is very dangerous and no one will do anything about it,' said Teddy Doyle, from Marrion Row.

The manhole, which has collapsed and cracked the pavement, is a hazard to all who walk the busy area where the new CBS School is being built at this present time.

'I am just afraid for people walking here. It is a hectic road and anyone could hurt themselves very badly,' said Teddy.

Teddy and a few others have complained about the obstruction but nothing has ever been done about it.
