Arrested for taking paintings

A MAN was arrested in connection with the theft of two paintings from a Wexford art shop.

Wexford Gardai confirmed that the paintings by Wexford artist Paul Maloney and David Diaz of Annapolis, were recovered from a premises in Thomas Street.

They were stolen from the window of Spectrum art shop in Selsksar ten days ago during a smash and grab incident in the early hours of the morning. A spokesman at Wexford Garda Station said a file was being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
