Average Wexford house price is €152,817
THE average price of a house in the Wexford town postal area stands at €152,817, according to newly-published CSO figures.
They show Gorey postal area figures are the highest in the county at €169,296, while in Enniscorthy average house prices are €136,769.
New Ross comes at the bottom of the pile, with an average house price of €114,970.
Post code areas neighbouring County Wexford show a wide variation with Waterford standing at €137,171, Kilkenny €189,796 and Carlow €146,193.
On the northeastern borders of County Wexford, Arklow average prices stand at €175,000 and County Wicklow at a whooping average of 281,910.
The CSO figures show a 1.5 per cent increase in house prices nationally in November, with an 8.6 per cent change year on year.
Overall the index is 31.5 per cent lower than at its highest level in 2007.
From the trough, prices nationally have increased 50.3 per cent.
In the South East, excluding Tipperary, there has been a 14.5 per cent annual increase since November 2015, with a gain over the three months to the end of November last year of 4.2 per cent.
