Best foot forward for the GOAL Mile in Wexford

Wexford people of all ages and fitness levels are gearing up for the return of the GOAL Mile this Christmas, as two venues across the county play host to the popular annual fund raiser over the festive period.

Now in its 35th year, the GOAL Mile is held in villages, towns and cities all over Ireland every Christmas and is one of the country's largest and longest-running annual fund raising events and one that will help you shed some of the Christmas turkey.

The concept is simple: people run or walk a Mile and contribute whatever they can afford to GOAL on the day.

Wexford Miles will be held on St Stephen's Day at The Quay Front, Wexford Town at 11 a.m. and on New Year's Day at Duncannon Beach from 12.30 p.m.
