Bypass funding for New Ross and Enniscorthy
THE EUROPEAN Investment Bank and other financial institutions are being asked to provide funding for New Ross and Enniscorthy by-passes.
County Manager Eddie Breen told a Council meeting that the National Roads Authority is in negotiations with banks in an effort to attract finance for the longawaited projects.
It is hoped that the by-passes can be completed in a private and public partnership arrangement.
In the meantime, land is being acquired along the routes and should be in the ownership of the Council by 2012.
