Call to clean up 'ships graveyard'
THE SHIPS 'graveyard' in Arthurstown Quay should be tidied up in advance of the Tall Ships Race in Waterford, it was claimed at Wexford County Council last week.
New Ross Councillor, Martin Murphy said that Arthurstown Quay could be an ideal viewing point to watch the Tall Ships race. However, he noted that the area was being used 'as a dump for old boats'.
' There are some boats left there to rust for the last six or seven years,' said Cllr. Murphy.
'Can we have them moved? We should do this in advance of the Tall Ships race because this is a very good and popular vantage point,' he said.
