Case adjourned in cannabis case
A YOUNG man who admitted having cannabis for sale or supply, had his case adjourned at Wexford District Court to enable him to undergo addiction treatment.
Darren Stewart (21), Ballyconnick, Cleariestown pleaded guilty to having cannabis at an address in Rosslare Strand on July 24, 2010. Inspector Pat McDonald said the cannabis valued at €2,700 was found in a cornflakes box.
David Tarrant, solicitor said the defendan't wanted to go into full-time residential care to get off drugs and was thinking about Aiseiri or Cuan Mhuire.
Judge Clyne adjourned the case to January 16 to enable him to secure a place and also ordered a probation report on the defendant.
