Cat-loving Ranger is named Wexford's 'Puppy of the Year'

While the Rose of Tralee might have all the glitz and glamour, it definitely doesn't have the cuteness that Petmania's Puppy of the Year event which took place in Limerick City.

At the event, seven month old Cocker Spaniel Ranger from Cleariestown was officially crowned as Wexford's Puppy of the Year. Ranger's loving owner Mairead Power was over the moon with the win and was delighted to see that the judges found him to be every bit as adorable as she does.

While cats and dogs rarely bosom buddies, Ranger loves nothing more than hanging out with the cats at home. He's a very social pup and loves children and animals of all kinds. Maybe we could all learn a thing or two from the Wexford pup. After two months of public voting and over 66,000 votes, 12 puppy finalists who hailed from all over Ireland gathered for the Grand Final.

'We are delighted to crown Ranger as this year's Wexford Puppy of the Year,' said Emily Miller of Petmania. 'He's a deserving winner oozing with cuteness.'
