Charges against fishing company
FIFTY-TWO charges arising from alleged breaches of fisheries regulations were waiting for John Keating at the District Court on Monday.
The accused from Newtown, Kilmore stood charged with offences committed back in 2008 while he was master of the 'Molly B'.
The list also included charges against a company called Keating Fish Ltd of Kilmore as owner of the 'Brigid Carmel'.
The court was told that a book of evidence had been served on John Keating and he was formally sent forward for trial at Wexford Circuit Court in October. Solicitor Cormac Dunleavy explained that the prosecuted firm is a family business with John Keating and his wife Carmel as directors.
