Charity lunch raises money for Down Syndrome Wexford

Soroptimists International Wexford handed over a cheque of €7,000 to Catriona Dixon who acts on behalf of Down Syndrome Wexford.

The President for Soroptimist Wexford, Dorcas Maher, gave the proceeds to the organisation after raising the money though a charity lunch at the Ferrycarrig Hotel.

'It was a huge success. The tickets were priced at €40 for the lunch followed by entertainment by Trish Goggins and Maestro Ger Lawlor,' said Soroptimist member Alma Hynes.

Alma said the huge raffle they had made up most of the €7,000 as Wexford businesses sponsored some great prizes.

'We would just like to thank everyone who came to support Down Syndrome Wexford, and all the staff at the Ferrycarrig,' said Alma.
