Co Wexford's high rate of company closures
COUNTY Wexford had one of the highest rates for companies going bust in 2014, according to up-to-date figures released last week.
Figures released by Vision net.com show that the other counties with the most insolvencies were Dublin, Cork, Galway and Kildare.
On the other hand counties Limerick, Clare, Wicklow, Tipperary, Louth and also Cork saw the biggest increases in new company start ups.
18,000 new companies were formed in the past twelve months with many being in the construction and motor industry sectors. Overall, there was a 14 per cent rise in company start-ups in 2014 it was the best December for company start-ups since the millennium (1,728 new companies).
