Cocaine worth €1.2m seized at Rosslare

REVENUE officers seized cocaine worth €1.2 million in Rosslare Europort yesterday (Monday, July 25). The discovery was made during routine profiling operations when an Irish-registered truck disembarking the ferry was scanned and searched, with the assistance of detector dog Ralph. The drugs, with an estimated street value of approximately €1.2 million, were found concealed in a side panel of the truck. The driver, an Irish male in his fifties, was arrested by Gardaí and brought to Wexford Garda Station. Investigations are continuing.
