Enniscorthy courthouse is in better condition than its New Ross counterpart but both buildings require substantial work before they are fit for occupation.
Cllr. Michael Sheehan told Wexford County Council last week that the abandoned New Ross court is an eyesore.
County manager Eddie Breen accepted that Enniscorthy was in better shape as it had money spent on it by the court service before the two buildings were handed over to the county council. The move was made in the hope that both will eventually be found useful for some community activity. However, the manager had no proposals on the table for any immediate refurbishment.
