Man facing 28 charges of sexual assault
A man in his 70s facing 28 charges of indecently assaulting a male in the 1970s and 1980s was sent forward for trial in Wexford Circuit Court.
However, the book of evidence supporting the same man's prosecution on 12 charges alleging rape or sexual assault of a female over four year period to 2008 was not ready.
Sitting at Wexford District Court, Judge Gerard Haughton granted the defendant legal aid to cover the services of two barristers in the indecent assault cases.
And the State was allowed until May 16 to complete and serve the book of evidence in the other matters, with bail allowed in the meantime.
